An excellent game for beginners, this game is generally played by two people but can be played be more. The standard set of balls, 1 through 15, is used and scoring is based on the total numeric value of the balls. The person with the highest number of points wins. 

When racked, the 15-ball is on the foot spot, with the others randomly positioned with the higher number balls near the 15-ball. Each ball pocketed has the value of the number on the ball. 

A player must either pocket the object ball, or either have the object or cue ball contact the cushion before stopping. If not, a penalty of three points is incurred and deducted from his points. Each player shoots until he fails to pocket a ball.
